Esports Cheaters Who Got Exposed
E-sports have become higher and higher-profile. Unsurprisingly, this means that there have been more and more reports of e-sports cheaters. Still, there is some consolation in that these reports have often been of e-sports cheaters exposed.
Azubu Frost - League of Legends
Nowadays, high-level League of Legends competitions see the teams in what are pretty much boxes. This is because the team called Azubu Frost was caught looking at the spectator screens and continued doing so after being reprimanded by the referees in 2012. As a result, the team was booted from the Azubu organization after eating a $30,000 fine.
Johnathan Kosmala - Fortnite
Johnathan Kosmala got caught using a wall hack for Fortnite World Cup qualifiers. These cheats are popular because they provide a huge benefit while being much more difficult to detect than their more blatant counterparts. Amusingly, it was the creator of the cheat who turned Kosmala in because said individual crossed a line by cheating for a tournament rather than for fun. Said creator even gave a full refund afterwards.
Flex - CS:GO
Speaking of which, there are people who have tried to use those more blatant cheats in competitive gaming anyway. To name an example, there was the player named Flex who used an aimbot in a CS:GO competition in 2015. Generally speaking, FPS competitors have very good aim. However, his aim was unbelievably good, so much so that people looked into the matter. After which, Flex was banned in short order because it was just that obvious.
