The Heaviest NBA Players to Ever Take the Court

For most NBA players, extra weight isn't a great thing to carry around. Basketball is a game where players constantly have to run, and having a few extra pounds can make it difficult to move quickly enough to be effective.

These players, however, made their size work for them during their NBA careers. Check out the heaviest players in NBA history, who threw their bulk around regularly!

Miller isn't called "The Big O" for nothing. At the end of his playing career, Miller's weight had gone from 270 pounds to 375 pounds, which made him a big obstacle. However, it sapped his endurance and limited his ability to defend, which is why he bounced around the minor leagues after 2000.

Shaquille O'Neal, 360 pounds

The Diesel wasn't always such a huge weight. In Orlando, Shaq was more well known for running the floor like a deer, but in Los Angeles, he bulked up and  became just as feared for his power in the low post. Despite his size, he kept his athleticism.

Sim Bhullar, 360 pounds

Bhullar's cameo was brief: he appeared in just three games for the Sacramento Kings, scoring one basket before seeing his NBA dreams end. As of 2022, he remained active, playing his basketball in Taiwan.

Eddy Curry, 350 pounds
