3 NFL Teams That Could Go Worst-to-First

The Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens finished last in the AFC North in 2021 due to a string of injuries. Their superstar quarterback, Lamar Jackson, got hurt and played only 14 games. Their top two running backs, J. K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards, and star cornerback Marcus Peters, all tore ACLs and missed the entire year. This season, Jackson, Dobbins, and Peters are already back to playing, and Edwards has returned to practice. Finally healthy, the Ravens are well-positioned to claim the divisional throne.

The Denver Broncos

Despite having a robust defense and good supplemental players, the Broncos have dwelled near the bottom of the AFC West for years. What is missing is a game-changing quarterback. After the retirement of their hall-of-fame quarterback Peyton Manning in 2016, the Broncos have gone through a long list of replacements without finding much success. This offseason, they finally got what they needed by trading for Russell Wilson. With the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback running the offense, don't be surprised to see the Broncos rocketing to the top.

The New York Jets

No team has improved more in the offseason than the Jets. They added an explosive wide receiver by drafting Garrett Wilson. In signing C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin, two veteran tight ends, and selecting Breece Hall, the consensus RB1 in the draft, they have added critical bail-out options for their quarterback Zach Wilson. These additions, combined with much-needed upgrades in the offensive line and defense, give the Jets a good chance to go worst-to-first.
